Greetings to our loyal GNI members:

In our rekindled effort to keep our members current with news and developments as it pertains to our "Project", we give to you, once again, our newsletter which we hope and expect all of our customers to review and enjoy.

1. As the entire GNI community should be fully aware, we are an ongoing target of those who purposefully try to do us and you, much harm. We are not alone, one of our partner payment processors has, likewise been subjected to intermittent but ever-increasing, disruptive attacks raising concerns with all interested parties.

After much consideration of many options, we have taken the proactive steps by terminating our current server/security provider, Black Lotus, and have replaced them and the services they provide with BlockDos.

The impact this transition will have on our abilities to continue providing our stellar service should be negligible; nevertheless, it's possible you had trouble logging into Goldnuggetinvest.com or you may, at some point on August 27th, experience delays logging on, it is the result of the installation and propagation matters inherently involved with this task.

Due to DNS propagation our site might not be accessible everywhere via our url http://goldnuggetinvest.com. If you have any access issues you may login to our site via IP at http://72.20.16.179/index.php.

We have also temporarily disabled the turing numbers on the login page, since it seems that not all members can see it. This shouldn't be of any concern! Brute force logins are not possible due to the fact that our script is sending the IP challenge code after each login attempt.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

2. Our new scripting software is in the final stages of testing and will, if all systems remain reasonably stable, be ready for implementation in 8 - 15 working days. We are not rushing this as we want to ensure the software works as it is designed to, is user- friendly and reduces the level of frustration which we all experience when things don't happen like they are supposed to.

Over the last few weeks, GNI has been under a barrage of coordinated attacks, hence the spike in PIN codes that failed, were sent to members not ordinarily needing to have PIN codes and so forth. It is anticipated the new script will eliminate a significant portion of the current problems we experience. Only time, however will tell.

Once the script is tested and ready to be uploaded, it will necessitate bringing down the entire website along with the supporting HTML pages. We're not sure of the exact amount of down-time, we thinking it will take somewhere between 14-24 hours...hopefully it will be less, plan on it being more. We will give advanced notice.

Although the graphics are similar, the software is significantly different. If we see members are having trouble with any aspect, we may do some on-line training so people don't get frsutrated. More on that later.

3. Admittedly, SolidTrustPay, has been the ongoing target of pranksters, hackers, DDoSers and the like. These attacks have had a significant collateral affect on all their customers.

We (GNI Admin) have been asked many, many times what our gameplan will be in the event any PP fails or becomes insolvent; or if the member can change their e-currency.

The short answer is yes, we have reserves set aside in the event any ecurrency implosion.

We are of the opinion STP will be here for the long hault and we will, accordingly support them as a loyal business partner should.

Malicious Attack Mitigated

SolidTrust has identified a malicious attack against its clients and business. As has been publicly stated, we came under an extensive DDoS attack which resulted in significant downtime for all members. While in the process of mitigating this attack, our servers came under brute force attack and information from our database was stolen. These are criminal acts. The perpetrator subsequently created a URL wherein he posted the stolen information. SolidTrust, within 24 hours, was successful in reporting the crime to the ISP and webhosting provider of that URL, and the offending link and illegal content has been taken down.

Events such as the above constitute online “break and enter”. Some will accuse SolidTrust of negligence and we will be sharply criticized. If a thief breaks into your well guarded house and steals from you, it does not make you an irresponsible home owner. We are not downplaying these events – but there has been no loss of information, no loss of funds, no access to passwords, none of the information in the database has been changed in any way.

This attack has been contracted and paid for by an individual or group. A war of this magnitude and depth is not cheap, and no one does it just for fun. Somebody somewhere wants SolidTrust Pay gone – but that is not going to happen.
